Jaipur is the capital city of Rajasthan. It is not very far from Sawai Madhopur district where the Ranthambore Natinal Park is located. Jaipur was founded by Maharaja Jai Singh II. From Jaipur to Ranthabore it takes roughly 2 hrs 50 minutes by road as the distance is just 153 kms.
Travel to Ranthambore either by road in a taxi or alternatively you can even book a train to Ranthambore. There are many trains which run from Jaipur to Ranthambore. At the railway station the representative of the hotel or the resort which you have booked will come to pick you up. Post checking into the hotel you can go and visit the well known Lord Ganesha temple. This is located in the amazing fort of Ranthambore. Later in the evening you can return back to the hotel. Have your dinner and sleep early so that you are ready for the early morning safari of the enchanting land of Tigers in Ranthambore.
You can choose a jeep safari or canter safari as per your preference. Do not be late for the safari as otherwise the jeep will leave you. The safari takes you to the deepest areas in the forest which would otherwise be not possible. Besides the tiger you will see some rare species of bird, animals such as sambhar, chital, crocodiles, wild boar etc. You should also go and see Jhoomar Bawdi. This is an extremely beautiful artificial lake where birds and animals come from drinking water. You can even go in for the evening Safari, but it is better to book the morning Safari as at that time there were better chances of spotting the Tiger. Later in the evening you can have a relaxing time in the hotel. In the night you can leave back for Jaipur via road or train as and how you like.
