About Us

Ranthambore National Park is a protected area and wildlife sanctuary located in the Sawai Madhopur district of the southeastern state of Rajasthan, India. It was initially established as the Sawai Madhopur Game Sanctuary in 1955 and later gained the status of a wildlife sanctuary in 1957. In 1980, it was declared a national park. The park is part of the larger Ranthambore Tiger Reserve, which encompasses adjacent wildlife sanctuaries.

The primary objectives of Ranthambore National Park include the conservation and protection of biodiversity, with a particular focus on the preservation of the Bengal tiger population. The park is renowned for its diverse flora and fauna, and it has become a crucial habitat for various species.
